Modify the Leopard CannedSearch

    I use my laptop mainly in college and am not always near it and friends might use my laptop from time to time. I use the canned(smart) searches in the sidebar but I dont want everyone to be able to see personal information at just one click like that. Is there a way of excluding folders or file types from the search? Folders preferably. I found something over here but I couldn't quite follow it because I'm not great at programming. Could someone help me out?

    Just exclude them from Spotlight entirely by adding the folders to System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy.
