One way to do it without any extra software is to press 'Print Screen' (or 'Prt Scrn') on the top right of your keyboard.

And then paste it into any image editor (MS Paint is handiest probably. Go to Start --> Run --> and type in 'mspaint'.)

Then Press Ctrl + V (or Edit --> Paste) to paste it in there and then save it (as JPEG / PNG prefably, smaller size than BMP).

I find (on a PC) alt+printscreen, then ctrl-v into a Word document gives me a satisfactory page to print out.

On a Mac, cmd-shift-3 gives a satisfying camera click, and produces a PDF/PNG document called Picture 1 (or Picture 2, 3, etc) on the desktop, which you can print out from Preview.

You need to have the image available somewhere on the internet for this. The easiest way to achieve this is to upload it to imageshack. Once you've made your screenshot file (with advice above) just go wo www.imageshack.us and put the file on there.

To insert an image in a thread, you use text like this:

Do you have a laptop? You may have to press Fn + Prnt Scrn (Function + Print Screen)

Printscreen button is OK but there are better more accurate ways to grab the part of the screen you want instead of the whole screen.

Printkey is free, and easy to use , just start it ( by pressing printkey ) , click on the rectangle , drag the rectangle around the area you want , then save in any format you like.
Theres no need to open up paint or any other app to get the job done with this little beauty of a program.

If you have vista ,then the snip tool is very similar , press the start button , accessories , and select snip tool.
