Irish presenter on France24???

    Im just watching France24 on TG4 at the moment and the presenter has one hell of an Irish twang in her accent!
    Any chance at all that she's Irish?

    btw where is orla cheneaiu from? sky news presenter she sounds irish to me but im no good at placing by county.

    thought alot of the tv24 presentters were terrible when they started(including her), but I guess they needed practice

    It's good to see an Irish person doing well in a situation you wouldn't quite expect. We saw a lot of excellent journalists go to Britain. It's interesting to see an Irish journalist on a tv show broadcast from France.

    Theres a girl with an Irish accent does the sports news on Eurosport as well.

    There's a Sinead O'Shea on Al Jazeera English who I've seen on Listening Post a few times. Google tells me that she did a report 'Mayo v Shell' for their People & Power programme as well. I can only assume she's Irish!
