I'm currently trialling an application called Spodtronic, for O2. They gave me a shiney new Nokia N73, with this installed on it.

It's pretty similar to the Internet Radios, but the Station choice isn't as varied.

    It's brilliant.

You can listen live to about a hundred or more stations from all over the world. You can download podcasts too, and an excellent variety of live concerts.

It does have some drawbacks too, but once they tweak them I think this application will be a must for all radio lovers.

Er, this post looks a bit spammy I think, but I'm just telling people about it.

I did a live internet chat thing with some of the people from Spodtronic and O2 this afternoon.

They were hinting towards a flat monthly fee.

I told them if they got the BBC Stations on board, then I'd definitley use it.

    Something similar for Palm-based phones:

The BBC National stations are on there, but there's currently no access to the BBC's local radio stations.
