    How do I download audio or video from youtube?

    My friend has put up a clip of my stag party and I'd like to keep it
    because it's very well edited with music and all..

    Or "Any Video Converter" which will also convert it to mpeg,avi etc

    The YouTube video is FLV, and thus, crap.
    Can you not get your friend to rip the orignial onto CD/DVD?

    Videos from you-Tube can be downloaded easily using KeepVid (http://www.keepvid.com). They are downloaded, or should be, in FLV (Flash) fomat, and can be converted into AVI or MPEG using Riva's(http://www.rivavx.com/index.php?downloads0&L=3) FLV encoder 2.0 - which is completely free.
    From there it can be easily turned in to a DVD using DVDSanta, Nero, etc.
    But the quality will be crap.:(

    Hi, can anyone recommend the BEST programme for downloading youtube clips? I have to download them for projection!

    I know quality won't be great but we have no other option.

    There is also a great plugin for Firefox called download helper - works for youtube and most other sites.
    If a vid is available in different formats on youtube it will let you select which version you want to download.
    I recommend it.

    You should post a new thread in the forum. :)

    well, for downloading YouTube clips, now Im using a Free youtube downloader from iFunia, totally free, and easy to use, copy the urls to it, and then let it batch download the videos there, save much time! Highly recommend~

    If you're using Safari, click Window - Activity. A list of addresses will pop up in a box, find the biggest one (it'll be in MB and the rest will be KB) and double click it to download. Then just open it with Windows Movie Maker and export the audio.
