My husband who is adopted hates Christmas too as it reminds him of his mother and how much he misses her. Luckily now he has something nice to remember just after Christmas (we got married on the 29th) but he is always upset on the day. I feel the same since my mum got ill, I used to love getting the cake made but now mum is too ill to do that.
