Shift and s not working?

    Hi all!

    I've had this problem for a few weeks now but I'm just getting around to asking now.

    For some reason my Upper case "s" isn't working when I hold shift and "s" I can only achieve and "S" is by switching on/off Caps lock.

    I had this problem a few weeks ago and then I updated to 10.4.11 and the problem went away but it has returned soon after.

    Anyone know anything about it? I've googled it but I couldn't find anything.

    Is it only the letter s that's effected ? I was going to suggest that you check if Sticky Keys was enabled. System Preferences> Universal access> Keyboard.

    Can't think of anything else it could be unless you've remapped the keyboard to another language which doesn't have a capital s :confused:

    I figured out what was wrong but I'm almost too embarrassed to say what was wrong...

    I was messing around with the speech function and I set the hot key to Shift and S.

    Silly me :o
