Dundalk All Weather

    Hi All,

Now that the all weather in Dundalk has been up and running for a while, I would like to hear what people think of it? I know that the initial fear was that it would lower standards and be comparable to low class all weather meetings on English all weather track, however I have been pleasantly surprised by the facilities (for both patrons and competitors) and in the standard of racing. Should we consider another all weather facility in the west of the country? I would be interested in everyone’s opinion.

    Thanks,

    Snowy

I think the fact that there's only one meeting a week leads to a better standard of racing there, which, on the whole, I really enjoy. It's good to see the big stables supporting it too, along with the top jocks. I wouldn't mind seeing another AW track somewhere in Ireland, as long as its not that rubbish fibresand that Southwell are persisting with, even after it was all washed away. You'd think they'd take the hint!

I think Sligo would be a decent location
