Lads he just rocks. Talk about tone! he is classic blues but with a bit of a hard rock edge to it. Some superb playing and very well produced albums. You can see some of his playing on youtube, a lot of eric johnson in him

Joey's one of my favorites. Searing tone, fast, and a lotta soul.
When he was a teenage child prodigy, BB King told him, "Slow down, nobody's gonna understand that stuff!"
BB was right, his playing is mature and forceful now.

You can find videos of him from age 16 to where he is now (30 I think).

His cover of "Had to cry today" is a freekin' classic. His bass player's right on the money too.

Couldn't agree more, the guy is amazing!!
He's doing 15 dates in the UK next year but none in Ireland, it's such a pity. I doubt we'll ever get a chance to see him live in Ireland given that our crappy CD stores don't stock any of his material. And tours are usually planned around CD sales.

Joe Bonamassa has a song called "The Luck You're Having" on the Les Paul and Friends Album. Have you guys heard it? I love that song!

Very tasty player. I was looking around the net for info on my Marshall Silver Jubilee (Bonamassa uses one) and the forum on his site is very cool. He posts pretty often in there, advising on gear and settings and pretty much anything you wanna ask him. Seems like a really nice dude.

Hi, Seen him in Dublin a few months back, superb. The support act was also great. Does anyone know who he was ???

Yeah, I did manage to catch that gig - both Joe and the support act were on fire. The support was simon mcbride - http://www.simonmcbride.net/

I just got Simon's new CD, some pretty impressive playing.

I just bought the Les Paul and Friends tribute album - there are some great songs on the album, Joe Bonamassa is the first track.
