No "should" about it. It will change shortly but it is part of a major overhaul we are doing of the application system. It'll all become clear at the AGM ...

... which means "heh" when I get the damn things finished.

    er... over 21s? what?

I'd imagine most likely it'll go up to 18?

personally i think it should either stay the same at 16, with 16-18 year olds needing parental permission to join (i.e. parent signs the application on their behalf) or drop to 14 to keep in line with most skirmish sites (again parental signing required)

over 21s is defo overkill, id agree with 14 with parental permission.,

80% in agreement. Keep it 16. 14 is too young. 16 is perfect IMO.

I'd prefer 14 with voting restricted to 18+.

IMO, Liamo, whupass and I are all well capable of making responsible decisions. Yes, spoon may be imature but 1, he'll never bother going and 2, He's 18 in less than a year anyway. I see your point that you dont want messers voting and some of the players our age might do that but those kinda guys are not going to bother to attend.

    Lethal.

Lethal: there's also the issue of legality and such...

not sure how it would affect voting, but the reason why a parent/guardian needs to sign forms for under 18's is because anyone under 18 cannot legally sign a contract and if they do so, that contract is void

I never said anything bout the law...

Just realised, need the form signed by my parent, dannys dad is brining us so will need to get my dads signature tonight.

Can somebody please send me a copy of the App form for IAA Membership ASAP.EDIT: STUPID SIMON, its in the stickies:p Got it and bringing it in the morning.

firstly, think what you like about your own maturity level, other's around you will form their own opinions for themselves

secondly, dont compare your maturity level to someone else's, that in itself is immature

The funny thing is that the 14,15 year olds are probably too young to get that reference. :D

On-topic (sortof), I dispise age limits. It's inherrently unfair since age is not the only factor that should be considered in most cases. Though I'm aware that in a process/club/organisation that's it is necessary to set some limit and age is the usual method.

You have to consider the legal implications Crazy. There is "what we want" and there is "what hte authorities say".

its probably a jounier and full member issue
surley if you can drive a bike at 16 you can be a member of a airsoft association . id rather that all could join in some way and then they can be coached in responsaible airsoft ownership rather than playing in a public park and hurting a passer by

that said we would not want a member to to found to be behaving in an irrisponsaible manner

so junior up to 16 with parental involvement ie the parent joining
full from 16 with parental permission

    only my opinion
