Taxi Q standards

The standard of the queues at taxi ranks these days are horrendous. Anit social behaviour; People skipping the queue; Not standing in single file. I propose we bring in rules to combat this. Some I suggest are...


- Bouncers at every rank that will only let EU citizens join the queue.

- Name tags for everyone in the queue so people can to know one another.

- Everyone must show a certificate showing that they have completed a queue standing course.

- Installment of "no skipping" sign.

- Everyone queuing must wear uniform so as passers by won't be confused with queuers.

- Only people who have been getting lifts in cars for 5 years or more may enter a taxi.


Any other suggestions?

Nah thats a joke. Just have 2 queues, One entitled "Irish" and the other "dem bloody forriners"

Just call them "Drunk people" and "Sober people".

I know this thread is a pisstake but it made me remember to say something important.

Why the fuck can't people in Ireland queue? The shop I work in is small so we don't have room for a 'Q here' sign, however it's quite obvious where people should stand (far end nearest the back wall). Yet, people still insist on walking up to the tills from the entrance and just stand there and expect the Q to be wherever they want to! Fuckin does my nut in and I tend to snap cos we get really busy and I have to tell these morons to join that big long line of people, and I get the dirty look!!

With the amount of new Taxis on the road every week it wont be long before everyone has their own Taxi..

Maybe the government can get a deal with Vodafone or some other Huge Foreign Company to install some ****ing GPS based tracking system that automatically tracks every taxi and every person and alerts the driver of the taxi and the garda when an unauthorised person is about to enter a taxi.

why not have a EU-based database that keeps a record of all the people who don't fit the required demographic to even sit inside a taxi and have a continuously updated list of criteria that could get you banned from taxi's for life. we have to get the nation's CCTV cameras to run some part of this system also, because right now CCTV cameras are under-utilised. wait no lets install remote controlled gun turrets beside each camera and have a facial recognition system control it to automatically snipe out every unauthorised person who even goes near a taxi rank
