    Hi, all,

I am new to this sport, so could anyone tell me what's best to start with?
I mean guns and other equipment? Also what kind of MilSim games are usually played, or is it a matter of venue?

The best advice is to read the stickies, and not not post questions in the reviews section!:D

I think I get to be the first to welcome you, so welcome!

Theres a list of retailers in the stickies, reviews of gear here, and each Irish retailer has thire own thread with discussion of new stock etc.

Main thing is to get an aeg you like, see whats available, and google reviews about the particular model to see if its reliable. Best thing to start with is a clone and jing gong and dboys are being well reviewed lately, I have one of each.

Welcome to the forum. Would also recommend you register with the IAA.

    lick

only joking; register with the IAA (thats the unpaid guys that work their asses off to push airsoft to the excellent game that it already is in many other european countries)

then get yourseltf to a venue where you can try the lads' kit out it'll give you an idea what you like there is no end to how much you could spend but a pretty handy set-up could be got with a few tonn and and a bit of gresearch
but some hands on experiance will really stand to you

and yes it is as much fun as it sounds

    welcome

I won't open a new thread, since this one exists.

I'm also new in airsoft, and still waiting for my gear and my AEG to be delivered (and since I'm not lucky at all with deliveries these times, it could take time before I show my face at HRTA). So I hope to be able to play after christmas.
