I have a dell vostro with a 15" Clearview moniter and an 8600gt gfx card. All was going good untill i devided that vista was a festering pile of ****e and i decided to install XP on the laptop, anyway ever since i did whenever i have my screen on the resoloution i want(1024X768) the screen is slightly fuzzy and some lines are jagged. I was just wondering how would i go about getting my screen back to lookinig nice again as honestly i dont have a clue, any ideas?

Also just a minor question or two aswell, my keyboard has the @ symbol over the 2 and the | where tilde should be and " where @ should be, i think its just cause its set as an american keyboard or somthing howd i go about fixing this.

And finally is there an option so when anything opens its opened full screen, like folders, msn convos, etc. Its a small thing but its annoying me.

Make sure you have the correct & latest video drivers installed.

Go to Start-Control Panel-Date, Time,Language. and Regional Options.
Then click on "Regional and Language Options"
Change the option in both the "Regional Options & "Advanced" TABs to "English Ireland"

With an LCD you dont get to choose the best resolution , the best resolution is the native resolution of the screen , anything else will look fuzzy , so you need to set it to the native resolution for the best picture , theres nothing you can do about that , you just have to get used to it.

Its highly unlikely to have a native res as low as 1024 x 768 these days.

Your keyboard is set up for the american way. You can change this in your contol panel as far as i know.

There are other options , you can increase the size of Icons and text for instance ! Set it at the native res and then go to Display properties , appearance ,

from here you can select large Icons , fonts , and so on .

    OK ,
IF you have XP , right click on the desktop , click on properties at the bottom of the list that pops up , choose the appearance tab , in there you can select font sizes and so on ,

If you have Vista , right click on the desktop and choose personalize at the bottom of the list , at the left of the window that pops up you will see an icon for changing font size and dpi ,
