    Depends on what you need it for.
    I say 6A for networks, 8 for telecoms and video etc...

    plus Cat 5 is finished, the lowest you can certify now is Cat 5e.

    TBH I never heard of Cat 8 till now, I just assumed that is was in the pipeline like the way Cat 7 is, ready to go but all up in the air WRT ceritifcation.
