My PS3 is not playing any discs!!!!

    my ps3 is not playing any discs!!! when i insert blu ray disc it tries to read it and then all i can hear is 2 beeps coming from the inside! its like sumthin' is stopping it from reading the disc! i hav ver 2.01 ! i hav also tried restarting the system but to no avail!!!! and then after like 5-10 attempts it reads the disc but u hav to be lucky!!!
    any solutions or anybudy experienced the same problem??

    You could try some lense cleaning disc, there could be dust in there. If that does nothing you may need to look at returning it under warranty

    May need a new lazer ??? Lioke PS2 did on me ... Some bloke in SIYUCOM fixed it for me!! Dunno if he's still about???

    if its still in warranty, just bring it back to shop

    Even if its past a year old, bring it back.. you are still covered by EU consumer rights for a MINIMUM of 2 years.

    Ps3 are only available in Ireland since march as far as i can remember so it still should be covered.

    Dear god i hope this doesnt happen to mine, i dont fancy brining it back to America!

    I was told by a guy in HMV ,where I bought my PS3. That they cover the ps3 for the first 12 months and then sony does for a further 2 years.
