Mine would probably be <snip>No MCD Gigs - Zapp. What was then their last ever one. Absolutely loved them back then. Still do of course. Idolised Richard Ashcroft and to see him on stage was just jaw-dropping. I'll never forget singing along to History as the darkness fell, a full moon shone on the river Boyne and the silouhette of Slane Castle stood on top of the hill to my left. Looking behind, there was just a mass of people going all the way back up the hill without an end in sight, all holding aloft burning paper cups. Just a perfect moment. Can't wait to see them in Belfast.

I know its not alternative or indie, but deftones in the ambassador a couple of years ago was absolutely amazing. Chino may as well have been in the middle of the crowd.

Possibly the Afghan Whigs in the Mean Fiddler around 1998. Great show - they played a good mix of stuff including about 5 songs from Gentlemen.
    Greg Dulli:
Other highlights: Wilco, Nick Cave, Guided by Voices(x7)

Easy: Music for 18 Musicians (Steve Reich), National Concert Hall.

If I'm limited to band bands, then Silver Jews, Glasgow, 2006.

Right guys, please try and be careful with your choices as some gigs mentioned can be unmentionable ones. Don't wanna have to go editing.

Can't talk about MCD gigs. Sticky in every forum.

Most of the gigs mentioned have been MCD gigs. All the Slane ones and several of the others.

Right guys, I'm closing this thread as there's been too much mention of unmentionable gigs.
