Strange but true goings on from the Fitness forum ... I wandered in by mistake, and stayed awhile ... purely scientific interest you understand.

Seems that methane is a by-product of lifting weights ... har har. :)

It's not really a "Threads that are just right" thread ... but worthy of your time nonetheless.

Jesus, them gyms must smell like crap all day long, if its that common.
Yet another good reason for not exercising.

Ha Ha....... Never had it happen me but this time 2 years ago was staying in the gf's house and got curry chips. Went to bed, let one fly thinking she wouldn't hear a thing. She lifted the blanket to move in towards me and this foul foul evil smell arose from under the covers. All I could do was laugh because the smell from that one fart lingered in the room for an hour.... yes we were watching a flick and it had only started at 9 and was on the opening credits when I let rip. At 10.15 it was still rotten.... I actually for the only time in my life made myself feel physically ill.

SO i blame the curry and the ecercise of eating said curry.

You may have been suffering from a condition known as Anal leakage. It is very common and I have been known to suffer from it the day after a good Guinness session.

If you look close enough you can make out the vapour trail.
