Looking at ticketmaster , it says the tickets may not be dispatched untill 7 days before the event ??

is this a bit tight ??
what happens if tickets get lost in the post ?
how reliable is the delivery ?

and no where in the order info or email they sent does it say where they will send them!!
i'm assuming they send it to the billing address on the CC ?

The seven day thing is a worst case scenario to cover themselves.

I also have always got my tickets within a week of ordering them. Dont sweat. :)

In general you get them within two weeks of ordering at the lastest. They say that because they don't want to know about lost of missing tickets until a week before the event.

Dont know about offices, but ticketmaster sell their tickets through an Irish countrywide network. Often record shops. Where you queue, yes. :)

It covers themselves on a few things. If the gig is cancelled they have not had the expense of sending anything out. It is also supposed to curb touting a bit, online touting that is, e.g. ebay- a guy buys 10 U2 tickets and cannot sell them at his own pace as he doesnt actually have them in hand.

If they do not turn up you ring them, you get a confimation code and go to the box office with it and your credit card.

At most gigs barcoded are checked. If the postman nicks them and trys to get in he is refused. This is also a thing to watch out for when buying from touts or ebay, the tickets could be first issue and illegal even though they look authentic.

Usually they send them out very quick. Still waiting on my early bird EP tickets though :(

the words to pay attention to there is that they might not be sent out until 7 days before the event with might being the oppurtune word as you will more than likely get the tickets within a couple of days

I wonder when they'll come out.
I'd like to think they'd understand that some people bought them as Christmas presents for others and would like them before then.

That only happens at ******* gigs, happened at the Marlay Park gigs too.

They really should bring that in for all venues in Dublin.

Last year I bought early bird tickets for ****** in february and did not receive them until may!

I booked a few tix in June and didn't receive them till Oct.. gigs were all in the past two weeks. It's a good idea imo, saves people putting physical tix up for ebay directly afterwards (although they still do anyway).
