GREEN 18, Dublin’s largest Golf Superstore, now open in Sandyford.

The largest Golf Emporium in Dublin - GREEN 18 - is now open in Sandyford, covering an area of 6,000 sq. metres and catering for golfers of all standards. As well as a comprehensive range and all the top brands in golf equipment and accessories, GREEN 18 also has a comprehensive range of fashionable golf wear.

A new name in golf, GREEN 18 is located in the Courtyard, Beacon South Quarter, Sandyford, Dublin 18, the latest upmarket shopping district in South Dublin. Fully trained staff with a passion for golf will be on hand to advise on everything from club size, to best fashion accessories. Portumna golf professional, Padraic O’Rourke, will be also available to give guidance, advice and private tuition to golfers at all levels from beginners to those playing off low handicaps.

A special feature at GREEN 18 is the three computerised golf booths equipped with high tech golf simulators. These enable visitors to improve their golfing techniques, or try out world-renowned courses like Augusta and get instant computerised feedback on performance.

Managing Director of GREEN 18, Mr. John Holland, says: “GREEN 18 is Ireland’s first all-in-one comprehensive shopping experience for golfers irrespective of age, gender or golfing ability. I am committed to ensuring those who shop with us will find top brands, enjoy professional service, and receive the best tuition in a relaxing modern environment. We aim to help our clients to win at golf, and look stylish at the same time.”

Beacon South Quarter is the first of a number of planned Green 18 outlets.

Was there two weekends ago but it wasn't officially open yet. Its pretty plush though I was disappointed with the club selection - they didn't seem to have a huge range in comparison to McGuirks for example. Though maybe they weren't fully stocked yet as it wasn't officially opening until the following week.

However the driving bays were great and its possible to test out the clubs before you buy as they tape them up etc to prevent marking which you can't do in a lot of shops and the pro seemed like a nice fella. Gave me a free driving lesson when trying out the drivers they had and spent a good 25 minutes with me which I was impressed with.

been in to this myself, nice enough shop and they have a few lines I've not seen much elsewhere, like Ogio bags. but not the greatest value, based on sticker prices. Didn't do any questioning so possible there is value to be had if haggling..

Struck me as a golf 'boutique' rather than a place to place to grind out a deal on a new driver, but given its location in the heart of D18, that's probably what it is designed to be.

Lots of shiny and very expensive gear downstairs, a handful of clubs upstairs, except for the putter section. It's not so much that they only have a couple of clubs from each supplier, more that they only have a few suppliers (as yet?).

Same simulator set-up as Golf Creche, which I actually prefer to a driving bay.

Hope it develops over the coming months as it's dead handy for me.

Only had a few tee-shirts left..
wouldn't be holding out for a mass clearance sale

I don't see any clearance sale advertised yet. The stuff seems to be gradually disappearing so not sure whats happening (I live in the apartments above it so go past every day). I'll keep an eye out and will let you know if there is anything advertised.

Walked past Green 18 this morning and all the stock seems to be gone so it doesn't look like there will be a clearance sale in the shop anyway. If anything else is advertised about the stock going on sale I'll let you know.
