What rights do people have to body modification? By this I mean what body modifications should you not be allowed carry out? Are there some modifications that are so dangerous they should be banned

What age should someone get the right to modify their body, (should the age allowed for getting your ears pierced be different from a tattoo)?

What rights do parents have to modify their children's body? Are ear piercings, neck hoops, male circumcision, female circumcision, hearing implants etc immoral?

-In my opinion it is my body I shouldn't be allowed not do anything to it as long as it is safe, sane and consentual. for me this covers anything type of modification, suicide, drug use, etc

-Depends on the context tbh, there's tribes that as part of the rituals of becoming an adult the participants go under what I'd describe as heavy modification. In some case these happen to people at a very early age. The western trend seems to be your an adult at 18 so then you can do it.

-Ones that will improve quality of life I'd say are not immoral but decorative especially circumcision should be left for the person to decide. All comes back to the safe, sane and consentual i mentioned earlier

though let's not forget that circumcision CAN be due to a person's health problems at a young age!

    How safe?

Can you really have a safe suicide booth? Is that not a contradiction in terms.

You can have it safe in a way that it doesn't hurt other people. Safe doesn't just have to apply to one person in the equation

As someone that had this done, I second this.

I do not agree with circumcision for the sake of it as they tend to do in America

Again, that's slightly different, as it is a religious thing for them.

But I don't really agree with the way it's done in America for cosmetic reasons to almost everyone.
