any ideas where id get a decent length cable for this, i can only dins one tat around 15cm in length! or is tere a cheaper and easier way areound this that im not thinkin of!

Doesn't exist, but here's all you need:
mini-DVI-to-DVI cable, DVI-to-VGA adapter, VGA cable
OR

mini-DVI-to-VGA cable, VGA cable

assuming your TV/monitor is using VGA. Only thing you need to do is check whether you need a male-to-male, or male-to-female cable.

*edit* Just noticed that there exists a DVI-to-VGA cable, so you could get away with mini-DVI-to-DVI cable + aforementioned.
