Seeking info on Toulouse, France

    I plan to make a trip to Toulouse in mid-late January.


    Can anyone recommend cheap places to stay, as i will be on a tight budget, it being so soon after xmas.

    Any info at all would be appreciated...

    Great town, pricey but the locals are friendly and things stay open late. We stayed in a pretty reasonable hotel right in the city centre earlier this year, let me see if I can dig up the name.

    Bars by the river are fairly pricey, shirt and shiney shoe kind of places. You'll get to everywhere you want to go from the main square, there is a lot to be seen from there, tours are organised, you can access all the main shopping streets and that kind of stuff.

    At night, there are few irish bars around, check out trevors brennans pub, nice place. Nite clubs are outside the town, but there are good few late bars around.
