Are they models who are supposed to be dressed up as "homeless" or just your common or garden trust fund hippehs, playing at being homeless before taking over daddys business?

Maybe it's just me but the 6th shot of the two guys seems like the only real shot of homeless people, all the others have a look of lifestyle choice about them they're all around the same age and have a style to there look, more like new age hippies.Shots seem to be thought out and posed.
I'm not a fan of photo's of people that have fallen on hard times, so maybe I'm not looking with the right eyes.

id say there posed I remember my trip to New York coming back to the hotel in a taxi and I just see a guy lying down on the path on some cardboard on top of those grates above subways(heat comes up) covered over in a dirty blanket and just people walking by not paying attention.

Interesting... some look like they're actually homeless, some look like the usual college students/hippies, and some shots look like they're from the civil war era... I'd say most of them were staged while the odd one might be authentic...

I would say thay are all authentic..............dirt on the hands / fingernails is usually a good indication. most posed shots can have scruffy looking models, but the hands are usually clean........imo

Its easy get dirt on people's hands, hold some coal and put your hands into some sand/mud and fingernails are sorted also

I kinda agree with the others. Looks like a high profile ad campaign for some grungy fashion house.

Then again, what do I know about living on railroads...

no. 6, regardless of authenticity, is not one of the stronger photos there.

They look too coherent to fit in what I've seen of the homeless here. Many of them are completely fried from both the sun and drugs.

Eh, who knows, though? I'm in Las Vegas and those pictures seem to be in the east/midwest somewhere.

4 and 9 are interesting captures full of attitude. The rest are just not my kind of thing, particularly the last one, that is horrific.
