    Hi.

Just been to see Shrooms, and was wondering if anyone can help me with working out where it was shot. As specific as i've got so far is Cavan. What i'm curious about, is the house / school tpye building they were shooting in. I've been looking over on google earth at the area, looking mainly for a river near Cavan and then following it to find the building on the edge of the river as i saw in the film. But the imaging isn't as detailed as i'd hoped :(

So.. anyone know more about this?

    Its a dreadful film.

I think it was very interesting what they tried to do..mix a Yank slasher pic with some Asian horror elements along with the more psycholigic idea's with the shrooms but it was clear nobody involved had the talent required to pull it off and instead of blending these elements successfully it suffers badly for not knowing exactly what it is.

I want to like it and support it(being an irish film that tried something different and didnt rely on BIG OIRISH CHARACTERS) BUT IT IS VERY HARD AS IT WAS SO BAD.:(

Yeah it was shot here in monaghan over 2 days as far as i remember about 18 months ago.

They took over Rossmore park and no-one was allowed in for 2 days :)

The house/castle scenes were shot in armagh somewhere though. Rossmore Park doesn't have a castle, just lakes and trees.

I walk all of those paths and see those lakes all the time so it was funny seeing people being murdered there on the big screen :p couldn't really take it serious..

The building used in the film was the Holy Rosary Convent in killashandra Co. Cavan, it's about 5 minutes away from where I live. Although it was sadly demolished back in 2012.
