Zara job interview

    I have an interview for Zara at the weekend.

    Just looking for a few tips - I'm assuming it's a formal enough one.

    Have no retail experience as such - bar work being the closest to it in terms of dealing with customers ... so how wold I best phrase that when/if it comes up re: experience?

    Smart shirt, clean haircut and jeans : good option ?

    Anything else, thanks in advance.

    I would say no to the jeans, prob better to be in trousers, shirt and tie?

    if it's just customer service you're doing (i.e. non-managerial stuff) then dressy casual is the way to go. a good shirt, black slacks and shoes (tie wouldn't be entirely necessary IMO). as you say, clean haircut and have a quick shave too :D

    It's seasonal (christmas) customer service type stuff anyway.

    I have a general idea of the questions they'll ask.

    First 5mins will be a bit of ice breaking - general chat (was like this the last 2 job interviews).

    Questions:

    past experience - retail or customer based
    examples of iniatative and team situations I've been in
    how I would approach / assist customers
    any knowledge and/or interest in clothing
    finally - any of my own questions

    I should get by - but any other interview tips would be appreciated ...

    prepare for stuff like "if a customer returns trousers..." type of questions, where the interviewer throws in "they're damaged" or "out of warranty" etc.

    when they do that give a good answer and if you can try and throw in an example of when you dealt with such a situation in your previous work.

    It is not recommended to wear jeans to a retail job interview. A solid colored conservative suit would be appropriate. Always dress neatly for an interview.
    Here are some customer service interview questions:

    What is good customer service?


    What would you do if customer complains?


    What would you do if co-worker is rude to customers?

    What will you do if customer wants to return the product for a refund
