Looking for a good HD set for gaming

Would anyone here be able to give me some advice as to what/where to purchase a HD display for the prime purposes of gaming?
    My desired specs are:
    • 5ms response time/no ghosting
    • 1:1500 contrast
    • HD ready(natch)
    • ~22" screen
    • at least 1 composite - but 2 would be much nicer
    • 1 HDMI
    • 1+ scart
    • VGA and RF desired, but by no means required
No preference between online or shops around dublin. I'm flexible with price, cheaper(around €400 or less) would obviously be far preferable, but I don't mind paying a little more for quality if I get a good deal. Like I said, my main purpose is gaming, I won't be watching much(if any) TV on it, and about the only SD thing that would be hooked up most of the time is my PS2. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat, about to move in with g/f and am gonna take over her box room after crimbo for PC, playstation, and football on tv. I reckon 26"/27" is gonna be best for me. Want to get something that will maximise the HD output of the PS3. Do I need to get a TV with 1080p display? Ta...

If youre only getting a 26" ,you might like to know that the smallest tv you can get 1080p with is a 37". ps3 would still look amazing on a hd ready(720p or 1080i maximum) 26" lcd

Sorry for the newb question but would there be much difference between
720p and 1080p? I'm debating whether or not the 37" taking over the room is worth it?

Thanks for the posts, people. I decided to go with the TV mathias linked to. Komplett have a reputation for being more expensive, but I had a hard time finding anything as well suited to my particular needs for a better price.

On small displays, the difference between 720 and 1080 wouldn't be all that noticeable. If you want to see for yourself what the difference is, set your monitor(assuming it's widescreen) for 1920*1080, then 1280*720. That's the difference. Bear in mind most TV and console content is optimised to work with lower resolutions, so it's not as important to see minute detail. There's also the fact that a 1080 set will cost a hell of a lot more, especially factoring the cost difference the size will make. If you have the money and space, 1080 is a better choice, but 720 works fine for me.

I saw that T.V in the Argos for E377 and was thinking of getting one, could you tell me what you think of it in terms of general picture quality because I thought the contrast ratio was kinda of low and am wondering if this affects the picture quality alot?
