    Hi,

Does anyone know how long it takes to get a NZ working holiday visa? I see on their site applications run from July 1st and they only give out 2000 to irish people, leading me to think they'd be all gone for this year and no point applying. I want to head over there in Jan if possible.

I'm going in April and applied for mine online 2 weeks ago. It arrived in three days. It's an e-visa so you print it off and bring it with you. you don't need to send your passport away. If the visas were all gone it'd say on the immigration website. The only country with no visas left is the Czech Republic, as far as I know. just apply now, pay $120 (NZ dollars) and you'll have it soon enough, as long as you meet all the criteria.

    Here's the site

newzealand is a fantastic place to visit but a year is a very long time to spend there unless its something more than a holiday and you have solid employment almost guarenteed

I'll be living in Wellington. My bf is a kiwi so it's just going home for him! We'll do a bit of travelling round while we're there too. I'm seriously counting down the days til I go. I've made a chart and everything!
