    Just saw this on airsoft-news.eu
Saves me making one myself. Now all I need is the drum mag.

I have plans in my head for a drum mag, but I need time, materials and tools - none of which I have.

Nice! But $139 for two wooden foregrips seems pricey as the different barrel design is an additional extra

I think someone on arnies made a drum mag for one of them.,

Yeah, I really don't see the point in having the 2 different foregrips, as you'll get the horizontal one with a full wood kit anyway

Might actually buy a RS foregrip (I read somewhere that they'll fit, and if it doesn't it shouldn't be too hard to mod it). I found a site that sells them for just over €30 inc shipping

There is a springer model available in the 20's design, with fore grip, drum mag etc.,

the mag could be stripped and fitted with hi cap internals.

the barrel is the correct ribbed one, google tommygun springer, may make a base or something to get the mag and barrel off.

Yeah, I saw that before, but its made from abs and I'd prefer wood. and the drum mag would require some serious modifications, so I'd prefer to make my own

You could use the drum mag though, see if you can get the mag alone, fitting hi cap internals can be very easy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 732 ✭✭✭chalky

I could. You can get the mag on its own for around $20 + shipping.

Screw it! I just bought this

While we're on the subject (kind of), what motor would anyone recommend for the drum mag? It'll have to be fairly small, run off a 9V battery and be powerful enough to wind a hi cap.

You could butcher an exising auto winder I suppose, harvest the internals.

The bb feeder tube is usually flexible, and the mechanics of them are usually small enough, but to fit in a tommy mag, maybe not.

Any 9mm hi cap drum auto winder if one existed could work.

The vertical foregrip arrived the other day. As I expected, it doesn't fit right.
The screw is at the wrong angle. All it should take is a new hole drilled in it. Only problem is, i've never worked with wood, and I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it myself. I don't have the tools for it either. Any one out there willing to do it in exchange for a couple of pints?

When you say its at the wrong angle, I assume you need it to be straight.....or straighter at least?

Looking at that grip I dont think it'd be possible to drill a straigther hole through it without bursting through the grip or having to flatten off the very bottom finger groove ridge a bit. You'd actually have to drill your hole starting in one of those finger indents I think.

Thats what I was thinking. If it was the only way of fitting it I'd be willing to do it though.

Unfortunatly for me, $157 is not the right price for a college student. I was thinking a bit cheaper :o
