Self storage requirements for a shotgun

    Hi, noob question:
    What are the requirements for self storage of a doulbe barrel shotgun and ammo?
    Where can i purchase a proper gun cabinet?

    The recently amended firearms act requires safe storeage of firearms. Before that there was no requiremnet. Common sense would be to get a gun safe either way. Any gun dealer should be able to sell you a safe. About €200 should sort you out. Infac are a good brand.

    Have a think about where your going to put it. It should be bolted to at least one solid wall. Ideally it should be placed in such a way as to make it dificult to take a crowbar or other items to it to try break in to it. So if you can get it in to a corner that would be good.
