Hi all, Apologies if this question is in the wrong place. I am a medical secretary and am having real problems finding work in Ireland, Galway city to be precise (I currently live in UK). I heard somewhere that the HSE has put a block on all admin or temp staff being taken on at present. Can anyone confirm if this is true…

Hi all,

Apologies if this question is in the wrong place.

I am a medical secretary and am having real problems finding work in Ireland, Galway city to be precise (I currently live in UK). I heard somewhere that the HSE has put a block on all admin or temp staff being taken on at present.

Can anyone confirm if this is true and if not, where should I be looking for vacancies in this field? I have looked in the Advertiser and have registered with agencies, with no luck.

Or GPs. My mum retired from working as a nurse in a general practice recently and it was absolutely chaotic. It's in Cork but do a bit of research into busy GPs in Galway.
