ok so i got a psp slim and i also got datel battery tool (basically a pandora battery)

I want to install the custom firmware but i still need to get the magic memory stick created. Easiest way would be to get someone with an already custom firmware installed psp but i dont have one of those.

So if any of you understood the above then i assume you have a psp and have custom firmware installed on it.

So what i need now is the files that are on the magic memory stick that you have to create. If anyone has these files could you please pm them to me or give me a link

Note: I already have the large 150.pbp, 340.pbp and 350.pbp files so you can leave these out and save alot of space.

Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

    This is what you need:
    http://dl.qj.net/TOTALNewbi-easyInstaller-PSP-Tools-Utilities-%20on-PC%20/pg/12/fid/14749/catid/193#8482979077943394751

It'll make Pandora MS with DC v3 for modding PSP Slim to 3.71 M33-2.

    YOU BRICKED MY PSP DICK:mad:

nah only messing. worked a treat.

For anyone who comes across this thread in the same state as me.
How to install the fustom firmware on psp with 3.60 official firmware

    http://dl.qj.net/TOTALNewbi-easyInst...79077943394751
    download that
    extract that
    run start.exe

Follow all the very clear instructions

Insert pandora battery (datel battery tool) and your power icon will go green and the other light will flash orange. When its stopped flashing orange press X and it will flash again and power off.

    and your done.

I'm not sure if I should hijack this thread but it seems to be as good a place as any, has anybody tried this technique of creating a pandoras battery:

    http://pspupdates.qj.net/Confirmed-creating-a-PSP-slim-Pandora-s-battery-possible/pg/49/aid/106137

It involves putting in the battery, taking it out etc.

I have a PSP Slim with ofw 3.60 and an unmodified slim battery and no access to another phat psp or battery unless I go and grab one off ebay.

And also with the TotalNewbieInstaller to install onto a ofw 3.60 slim do you chose option 3 or 4 on the installer? Sorry for this noobish sounding post!!!

You need a modded PSP to create a Pandora battery or make one yourself by breaking open your battery and cutting pin1 on the batteries EEPROM.
In the video you linked, the guy is using modded PSP with Hellcat Pandora Battery Creator for 3.XX Kernel.

i dont recall exactly what the options were. I remember there was one option that had slim in it and thats what i chose.

I could probably lend you the battery depending on where you live.

Might be better to make/buy one cause when your firmware upgrading there are times when it goes wrong and you have to start from scratch. always good to have a pandora battery around.

Yeah I'll get one somewhere maybe ebay I guess. Cheers

I have a fat psp with 2.81 firmware... I know it can be downgraded with an unpatched copy of GTA:LCS, anyone know where I could pick up one of these??

Or any other method recommended? (I dont like pandoras battery method...)

If you dont want to use Pandora option, then you need either copy of GTA:LCS with 2.00FW on UMD or Luminies on UMD.

Depending where you are living I could loan you my copy of GTA:LCS or you could look around the shops for 2nd hand copy of either game.

Cheers man, do you have the 2.0 FW update version?? I'm in college in Dublin if thats any help?!? I'll have a look around over the weekend too for a copy of the 2.00 FW one, my own copy of this would come in very handy!
