The link in the original posters post is giving him double the disc size for pretty much the same money.

Yep forbairt, I did't spot it until after I posted :)

Bottom line is that they're a great little drive anyway.

Just as a by the way, I was in PC World this morning & they have them for €149 which for them is very keen. If you look at Kompletts price, add the postage & the lead time? there's nothing between them really.

Its also a full external disk as opposed to the usb powered one (USB powered really does make all the difference when bring it places)

Interesting. Could have sworn the Lidl newsletter email said €139. Aldi have one for €109 so maybe Lidl changed the price.

Between a LIDL newsletter ..... a poster outside the local LIDL store and the shop leaflet I think I've seen 3 different prices for that 500 GB drive ....

    hope it's 109.99 ....

They are SATA. I have the 120G version too and it does work on the PS3, since I have a PS3 (nah nah coolmoose :p )

Very handy drive. If you need portability then this is the one to get over the style Lidl have which are big and need external power.

One thing though, I've read that the USB ports on a lot of Dell laptops don't provide enough power to run these drives on. You need a Y-cable, that doesn't come with the drive unfortunately.
