Assassins Creed TV Ad

I just saw an ad on Paramount for Assassins Creed. At the end where I was expecting to see the usual "Out Now" and the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 logos, came something I didn't expect.
The Playstation 3 logo and the "This is living" quote came up full screen and the ad just ended.

Is that even legal? Can Sony advertise a multiplatform game from a 3rd party developer as if it was an exclusive?

they can maybe if they pay for the ad themsleves, whereas if the developers released one they would put all companies down??.... thinking about it, to advertise themselves what good is it to show the console all the time, better to associate the console with titles and graphics etc....

if I'm selling something to go with my product and I make an advert for it to encourage sales I'm hardly going to say "oh yeah, and our main competition also sells it too if you want to give them a lash instead" am I?

Sony are paying for the ads, so they're not going to advertise the competition. Same with the ads there were on the buses and posters for the simpsons games - only showed Playstation logos.

The game can only be advertised by Ubisoft or with their permission. So presumably a financial arrangement was reached between Sony and Ubisoft whereby the PS3 logo and tagline would be added to the end. It's something Sony need to do a whole lot of since their promotion of the PS3 to date has been a confused mess.

They should include a warning about how it crashes a lot on the PS3 compared to the 360 :)

That's two zombie threads you've resurrected in the last week or so - Don't do it again.
