Do any of you remember that awful Christmas movie that we were forced to watch every year in the "Halla" of my Primary School. It was about the birth of Christ obviously enough, but once I hit 11 or 12 I had seen it so many times, grr!!! We were also subjected to an equally awful Easter movie, starring a lot of the same actors. Please tell me it wasn't just my school that was that cruel.

The only one I remember seeing in primary school for Christmas is Darby O' Gill and then in 6th class it was Schlindlers List.

I remember watching the sound of music once in primary school, and just before the kissing scene our teacher said
    'Cover your eyes, girls'
Thats convent schools for you :)

Must have just been your school MW! In mine we were made "volunteer" to act out the nativity and at easter it was the stations of the cross!

For some reasons we used to be forced to watch Ghandi at Christmas. I never understood the connection.

We only got to see films in secondary school and back then the films were on reels :o

The movies I remember are a number of the St Trinian ones and Airplane and the Machintosh Man and part of that film was filmed where I was reared.

I vaguely remember the nuns showing us some film about Jesus which took in the crucifixion, resurrection, ascension and assumption. The crucifixion must've been extremely sanitised as I can't remember any of it really.

My brother's teacher was way cooler. He used to let the lads in the class bring in videos like The Terminator and Predator. My brother was about 10 at the time :D
