I've played about 10 so far, my Two favorites would be Wii Sports and Pirates of the Carribean.
Wii sports is just great fun, especially if there are a few of you to play bowling or tennis or even baseball, although my girlfriend gets a bit aggressive playing boxing, she has nearly put her fists through the tv a few times. But she manages to beat me at bowling nearly everytime. And of course the fitness tests can be pretty fun too, espcially with the mii's that you create. My little two year old has started to have a little go at the tennis, although im not sure he actually knows what he is doing :-)

Pirates of the Carribean was good fun too, plenty of sword play, game play was really good, even a few puzzle type scenarios in it. Graphics are pretty good too, nothing special. Controlling the game was pretty handy too, you can pick it up easy enough.

    Zelda
    Super Paper Mario
    Kororipina
    Metroid
    Mario Strikers

And Super Mario Galaxy (although I haven't played this one yet)

Res Evil, heard thats its gona be great, i think ya get a gun with it as well, at first fps games werent that good for wii, but their getting better and better as game developers learn from their mistakes, MOH will be coming out at the end of january, they spent a good bit of time working on this title so that it will push the wii to its limit so should be good, and for yas star wars fans out there, a star wars game will be released in the first quarter of 2008, with the light sabre etc. so if ya have a wii now hold onto to it, as some good titles being released.

Obviously Res 4 if u haven't played yet = simply best game ever imo

    Zelda is short and samey

Warioware is very enjoyable, great party game.

Just got Galaxy, only into a few levels but i dunno if it deserves SO much praise

I dread to think what the other 8 games you've played are if you'd list PotC as one of the best!

The best for me would be pretty obvious - Zelda, Resi 4, Metroid and Mario Galaxy. No real explaination needed as to why I love them.

Are you talking about Zelda TP here? how on earth could you consider that to be short???

Geomety Wars Galaxies is going to rock everyones world, not to mention the cool DS demo you can send to your DS, nice.
Mario Galaxy is one of the best games of the last 10 years, along with HL2 and PGR4 will be long remembered as benchmarks in their respective genres, Ratchet and Clank wish they had a quarter of the innovation of SMG.
Metroid Prime 3 Corruption along with the previous 2 Prime games are probably the best Sci Fi genre games yet made, again, if only Halo grew as a series the way Metroid has.
And Zelda Twilight Princess was a great game too, sure it lacked the side missions of its peers to inflate the play time but it was a very enjoyable RPG, plenty of action, puzzles, great bosses, non stereotypical enviroments to explore, the game further expanded the Zelda mythos.

It seems to me that no matter how well Nintendo expand their existing game series onto the Wii format, no matter how creative and original they are with the new controller they are, people will still make it their business to find something wrong with the Wii and its games, pity, sad for those people too that they have become so jaded and cynical.

With the Wii, I don't remember a time I have enjoyed playing games so much, and I've been playing for quite a while now.

Even Call of Duty 3, a resolutely next gen title was great on the Wii, so much so that it is my prefered format for playing the game.

    Re Scarface,
Why oh Why don't Rockstar cut to the chase and bring us a bumper Wii package with GTA III, Vice City, SA and the Stories stuff?
I mean, Driver PL shows the Wii can deliver, so why not?

Can you imagine the sales figures?

Or they can just release San Andreas Stories, hmm, nice

Same here Zelda has been by far the best. Got the kids MySims and like the look of the EA playground for the kids too. But for adults the only game for me so far is Zelda. Oh and I liked Crash
Not got Mario yet as still playing Ratchet.

Super Mario Galaxy is excellent (and is a good stop gap until Mario Kart) and the kids love it (as does Mrs. Parsi). The graphics are good esp if set to60Khz.

does anyone know if the simpsons game on the wii is any good? was thinking of getting it but havent heard anything about it

For me the best are (in no particular order):

Wii Sports - (yes....still in my machine for parties one year on...it NEVER gets old and always gets drunk people laughing even more)
Metroid Prime 3 : Corruption - It's like Babylon 5 compared to Halo3s Star Trek shallowness.
FIFA 08 - yeah, thought I'd never see the day but I do in fact love FIFA on Wii - especially online
Trauma Center - Heard the new one is way better but the first one was pretty cool in my books, incredibly inense gameplay.
Zelda TP - I don't care, I loved it harrumph!
The Godfather - Way better imo than Scarface as the use of the motion controls is absolute class
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicals - it has it's faults but it's pretty damn good in two-player co-op after the pub.

I haven't played Mario Galaxy but someone got it for me for chrimbo so I'm sure I'll love it then.

Yep, I think it's much better too. Much better controls. Just a better game overall really, I'm not sure what else to say :o

I haven't played Scarface but some of the motion controls in the Godfather are great. You have guns but the bat is so much fun to swing that I ended up using that more often. Some of the finishing moves with the motion controls work really well too.

Thirded, the Godfather is excellent! :D

And yeah, you end up running into groups of people with a baseball bat or a lead pipe, and dying because of it, but you have a lot more fun ;)

The only thing Scarface does better is the graphics - for control, city layout, finishing moves, fun; Godfather for the win all the way.
