AFAIK, easiest and most convenient way is loading money onto your credit card, this way you pay a straight exchange rate and don't have to pay interest or withdrawl fees. Added bonus is you dont have to carry cash with you and if you lose it they have a temporary card out next day.

But if you load you card with cash and your cash is copied the CC company won't cover the cash you loaded onto the card

He means having a credit balance on your credit card. Then you can take out cash at the exchange rate of the day and you won't incur any charges because your account is in credit.

However I bought a lot of stuff when I was in the states and I was charged a out of state rate of 1.25% per purchase you put on the card.

Your local credit union normally do a good rate on exchange and there commission is usually okay. If you're a student too most credit unions don't charge commission.

Get somebody with a "student" or "seniors" bank account, they wont get charged commission when they go to change it iirc.
