It isn't. You can only verify your account status (using credit card) but can't get confirmed status on your address.

i got this from a seller . . . CONFIRMED PayPal address ONLY - why leave me neutral because you can't read? I left him neutral because he cancelled the auction

it could be that in some countries paypal can validate the address you give with your credit card. they can not confirm any Irish users.

the other thing it might be is that when you first sign up you can allow them bill you €1, when this appears on you CC bill theres a 4 or 6 digit code beside it. you enter this code on the paypal site to confirm you CC details.

Why does he allow Irish bidders then if we can't confirm the address? As far as I know, UK and US addresses can be confirmed, perhaps others too, but there are issues with several countries in confirming address. Most sellers don't have a problem with this. I normally contact the seller in advance of bidding if it states confirmed only in the auction.

You shouldn't really have left any feedback at all though since he did state it in the auction.

Not sure which ones can, but definitely Irish addresses can't.

Yeah that's the account verification, which everyone can do.

    .

I left neutral feedback because he cancelled the aution and said we had come to a mutual agreement about it. I know why he did it as well because it was a voucher for £20 that was usually sold for around £14 and i got it for £8 somehow, it was an electronic voucher as well.

But i take your point I presumed that since I had been with paypal for over a year my address would have been confirmed.

Verified is NOT the same thing as confirmed.

Did he leave you negative feedback in retaliation or anything? Some will do this.
