Anybody know what the story with this place is? The pool / snooker part has been closed for weeks now...

Anybody know of any other pool halls in Dublin City Centre? There's a place off the Stephen's Green end of Grafton Street alright, but they've only small tables and don't stay open very late...

There is the amusment centre just off Parnell Street near the cineplex and Woolshed pub. Also American Sized pool tables in Break for the border

Cheers, I'll check em out. I've been to the Palace one before, they've got (or at least they had) some very nice tables in there. I'm just not sure how easy it would be to get on them on a Saturday night!

Well I finally figured out what they were doing. Installing gaming machines - so Ned's is now turned into a casino . They still have a few tables in the back, but I'd say the time when you'll be able to play on a full size snooker / pool tables in Dublin city centre are nearning an end...

What is the name of the place off Stephen's Green that you can play pool? And especially can you have a pint there?

I hope I'm not being smarmy here, but i think you mean the place in the post directly above yours.
Its about 250 metres from Stephens Green on the CuffeSt corner of the green.

Hi ArmaniJeanss, I know the palace on wexford street, but as Michael Collins mentioned there was "a place off stephens green end of grafton st", I thought he meant some other place, ( as I had noted the palace was already mentioned ) did you Michael?

Yeah it's a different place alright. It's on one of those street parallel to Grafton Street, it may be William Street, I just can't remember the exact location of it. They only have the smaller pool tables in there I think, it's usually populated by DIT / Trinners students. No pints available tho I'm sorry to say. Still, the tables were nice to play on - at least they were the last time I was in there, which is about a year ago now.
