"YOUR GONNA HAVE TO KILL ME MORGAAANNNN!!!!!"

No words can describe how great an episode that was, although horrifyingly great shall suffice :D

    That's right, Motherfúcker!

    :D:D:D

Of all his 'Motherfúckers', that was undoubtedly his best yet. No-one can say it quite like him.

That was outstanding.... Is there any possible way that Doakes will make it alive to Season 3? :)

The whole scene from Dex realising his stash was missing up to the reveal of the suspect was brilliantly done. We all knew what the outcome was going to be, but it was fun to watch!

Best episode on tv for ages...
Yes it was a mother****ing wow of an episode. And as much as i like Dexter, i too like Doakes as well, and would hate to see him killed off (is there going to be a third series?)

And if he is going back to Harrys code, surely he couldn't kill someone innocent.. Who knows, but we have three more episodes to go where anything could happen.

Three more eps? I don't know if my poor heart can take it!

What a **** hot episode. Absolutely perfect!
I haven't liked Doakes until this episode really, but DAYUM he's made things fecking interesting!
What can Dex even do now with that injury!? And...everything!

    And Rita is a Ride!

single handedly the best hour of TV i've watched in a long time... except for lundys ass that is.

The scene where Dex realises the slides are gone was excellent, I actually felt the gut wrenching sickness he must of felt at being discovered.

oh and big props for the writers in cooking up Lilas personality. Never have I wanted to punch someone right in the teeth as I have Lila, her beady eyes, bulemic body and drawling accent combine to make her one of the most loathsome characters i've even seen on screen. Making an audience evoke any emotion toward a character is always a feat of genius.

    It was alright.....

.. who am i kidding?!? :D Twas absolutely superb stuff from start to finish!

Yeah, it was damn obvious that Doakes was the suspect considering he was the only person not in the precinct when Dexter was brought in, and it was looking likely since La Guerta's phone call to him at the start. But who cares that it was obvious? It was just incredibly tense from the moment he realised the slides were gone to the close up pan of his face as the FBI at the door were calling him to Lundy's and then the "we've got him!" exclamation of the FBI guy. Fantastic stuff!

Definitely one of the best hours of TV this year and those final 3 minutes.. the showdown on the pier was nail-biting stuff. The only thing that suprised me was how easy Doakes went down in the water - but i, for one, really want Doakes to see a third season but i can't possibly see how this could be the case. I mean he's had it out for Dexter since the start and now his suspicions have been realised, Dexter has only one choice!

Stupendous hour of television... but Christ, Keith's Carradine's ass is a sight i never want to witness again!

Now im really looking forward to the next episode, where Dex and doakes can have a face to face chat that ive been waiting all season for

Since there is a third season planned, I have to say, im gonna miss doakes. I really wish showtime didnt say they were giving it a third season which is a major spoiler in itself, pretty much ruining the possible ending of Dex dying/incarcerated which would have added more suspense to the show. They really should have waited until after season 2 was finished

Sensational stuff, best episode of Dexter ever. Maybe the mods could change the worst option in the poll to "As bad as looking at Lundy's arse" although there's no need because no-one could find fault with that episode. It was a masterpiece of black comedy all the way, from the federal bodyguard telling Dex that "Communication is everything" to Dex using Doakes' words to frame him.

Dex is truly in the shit now and it doesn't look like he can get away with it without killing Doakes. Can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Pretty much on a par with last week, although I could've done with more Lila bashing by Debbie. Still Dexter's finally on to Lila's psychotic nature and I'm wondering how ultimately he'll deal with her - will he somehow tie it in with Doakes?

I thought the Doakes-as-suspect thing was very obvious and I immediately guessed what the FBI "tail" actually was. Still it was good to see how Dexter's paranoia grew as the investigation went on and I thought he was going to put his foot in it a few times, although I'm glade he didn't as it would have been a bit clichéd.
What I liked in the follow up though was how Dexter started to wonder how he could exonerate Doakes and yet cover his own self. Harry's Code definitely played an interesting element there that came home in the last couple of minutes - I genuinely thought it was a dream when Doakes showed up (nicely set up by the first few minutes of the episode).

Excellent episode and the best ending of a show in months and months. Does Dexter betray Harry's code? How will he explain his absence and injuries? Maybe, somehow, Lila will get wound up in all of this and be led into kiling Doakes, relieving Dexter of the responsibility. She could die in the process (fingers crossed!). Or maybe he'll use her as bait - Doakes sets himself on her and Dexter kills him to free her. Or... see I don't know where it goes now and that's good stuff! Very pleased.

See there ya go "Heroes" - your second season can be just as compelling as your first.

Oh my God this was a great episode, think the reason Doakes was kind of panicing onthe peir was that he was actually a bit scared of Dex, even with the handcuffs on Dex looked scary, Great acting my Michael C Hall from the haggered stressed out look at the start to the scary look at the showdown with Doakes, I really hope he gets an Emmy nod for this season, I do see Doakes in season 3, as if Dex wanted him dead or framed they would have had the chance, but Dex cleaned the box and slides for prints and he could have chopped him up when he knocked him out, just don't see how the writers wil work it out?
    Roll on next Monday :)

P.S. Nice look of respect between Angel and Lundy when Debs blurted out that she was sleeping with Lundy :)

I still love the "Suprise mother****er!" when he catches Dexter at the shipping container in season 1.

Holy ****, what an episode! Definitely a heart-racing masterpiece.

Still though, I don't think anything in this episode tops the headbutt last episode. "I own you!" :D

    no no no

it would be like my serenity Tshirt or my BSG t-shirt. noone would take any notice and then you would come accross a fan of the show who gets it like the BSG tshirt from glarkware http://www.glarkware.com/productcart/pc/catalog/main-toaster.jpg

but its just funny i have had my serenity t-shirt since the screening in UGC a few months back and the first person besides one of my mates to ask about it was just last week in the dam. Id say you could wear that dexter shirt your whole life here in ireland and noone would get it cause so few people watch it.

I love how this show has drummed up almost as much interest on here as most of the other shows, yet it's still not even being shown on any of our main channels!
FX made a good move! I can see sky1 or ch4 maybe having a bash at it. Or maybe TG4, with their Nip/Tuck yoke.

Still can't believe there's 3 episodes left! Most frantic and satisying pacing in any tv show yet, Heroes would probably save these sort of scenes for the last 5minutes of a season. Dexter is amazing :)

    3 to go!

Dexter season aired just before that serial killer with the prossies in the uk. as far as i remember one station sky or whatever actually bought the rights to air but then decided not to because having the ice truck killer killing them on tv while someone was actually doing it. Then i guess tv execs here forgot about it...

Fantastic episode and show...how television should be made really, so much tension and suspense, especially that last scene. What I like most is that even though the Doakes as the suspect was slightly telegraphed I honestly can't fathom where they'll go next. Will Dexter kill Doakes, what about his Harry's Code, Dexter's wound etc. Although I can see the resolution involving Lila somehow but after that...

    T'was average...like Rita's attractiveness
:eek: How anyone with eyes would write such a thing:D. Rita is savage although I would say she hasn't aged well since the buffy/angel days but still

Watched this on Wednesday after I got back from NYC; 'twas a great episode and what a fantastic show, can't wait for Monday! It's really building up momentum now and it's gonna be very very interesting to see how they wrap it up.
The only shame about Dexter is that so many people haven't seen it; no matter how much I rabbit on about how brilliant it is to people in work/friends most of them just won't bother watching:confused: Their loss I s'pose. Roll on Monday:D
