We'll be looking for a new bassist! Keith will be playing his last gig with us at the King Kong Club in Pravda on December 19th!!!!
If you're interested and feel you have what it taks to play in the greatest Irish rock band since The Radiators, then come to the gig, listen to our stuff and contact us!!
We'll be holding interviews and audtions soon!

We have BIG plans! Touring the UK and Germany after Christmas, along with a single launch. So we want someone serious and commited. Do we even need to say 'No Timewasters'?
    Too late, we already did!

I'd love to do it guys, and I was all excited, but I've got my leaving this year :( Just keep me in mind if you ever are looking again... I like your ballsy style, and I'm sure you're quite a spectacle on stage :)

Yep, your punching above your weight with those comments.
It's a pretty standard 'dorans' band.

I'm sorry, but it's a boring, been done a million times before sound.
    Un-interesting.

Well I'm not in the band, so that won't be a problem.

    .

Never judge a book by it's cover.

Youd swear people have heard of you or something

You've obviously been living under a rock

Don't think they're punching above their weight to be honest. You're obviously not into the music, doesn't mean it's ****. You just don't like it.

As for the un-interesting 'been done before' etc, name me one band from the past 5 or 6 years that are completely original without any derivative elements?

May seem like arrogance, but the Irish music scene is as boring as ****. No one has any balls anymore.

Aside for Humanzi, The Urges and The Hassle Merchants, the Irish music scene is flooded with singer-songwriters and boring indie interpol-wannabes. That's just my opinion.
I never said you must have no idea about music if you've never heard of Fifteen Minutes. If you're in a band in Dublin, or have been to local gigs, you'll have heard of them. Simple as that!
Anyway, there seems to be a shortage of bass players in the country. They're all either in bands or aren't willing to put the effort in.

Alright Andy, Why can't ya just get Brian Fitzpatrick to play bass for them?
Or is that a stupid question? ;)
Good drummers, now there's a rare commodity! :D

I don't think Brian has the time to commit. Plus, he'll admit that he's a lazy prick. He'd piss in his fish tank if it meant he didn't have to leave his room.

Just checked them out, the drummer is on vocals? fair play.

pretty good or not (not my thing but there's worse) it's not fair to say youre the best irish band since whoever.

theres lots of great irish bands out there and your claim to be better than them is laughable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 668 ✭✭✭Pat D. Almighty

Why is it laughable? Ambitious, yes. Cocky, of course. But you have to think you're the greatest band out there, or else you'll end up doing **** all. You have to aim high. If you think 'ah were ok, hope we get signed', that straight away in a negative attitude and that usually has an effect on everything you do with the band from live performances to quality of songwriting.

Trev, yeh the drummer does backing vocals. He's pretty good. Probably the best drummer I've ever seen live, although I haven't seen you play yet! :D

    "greatest Irish rock band since..."

That’s a matter of taste, I think this is why the OP got up people noses.
Claiming that does make you come across the wrong way, cocky or not.

Confidence is one thing arrogance is another.

After checking your myspace its certainly tight/well rehearsed and played but your stretching things a bit with that claim.

There are a lot of bands out there along your lines, its hardly groundbreaking stuff but good luck with it anyway.

ive seen these guys play at radiator which i go to most weeks and they are undoubtedly tight but arent doing anything mindblowing or bringing anything new to the table.

decent but not the greatest since anybody.

i cant see a musician of any calibur being attracted by a band that talks like that.

They haven't played Radiator in about a year. Everytime I've seen them there they've been sub-standard. Regarding not attracting decent bassists because of the attitude, you'll be suprised to know that we've had over 30 responses, half of which have been auditioned and half of those have been pretty decent. I think we've made our decision anyway and got the right man for the job
