Are we in potential trouble come next spring?

While the summer was a bit of a washout its proberly too early in the year to influence the 2008 supply, we had a mini-summer in late Sept/Oct and since then while the weather is a little more broken we've had no serious sustained rain-bearing frontal activity. And there's non on the horizon either.

Are we going to be praying for a deluge in December/January to compensate?

While the summer was exceptionally wet, the Autumn drier spell is nothing to be really worried about as evapouration levels are quite low now. So any rainfall will not be drying up or draining off in a mad hurry.
