mythtv lirc transmitter performance for sky digibox

    Hi,

I have my HTPC up and running with mythtv (mythbuntu).

Everything is set up and working pretty well except for the IR transmitter to change channels on the sky digibiox (Grundig GDS 310 AFAIK). I am using the microsoft remote control and ir blaster.

I have it changing channels alright but it only manages to change the channels correctly half the time. It usually only sends two of the three channel numbers.

I have been using irrecord to capture my sky remote. I have tried capturing the remote by holding it right next to the reciever and at varing distances away I even tried turning off the lights and doing it in the dark.

I have ordered one of these which is the best solution for controling the sky box but the guy that sells them is closed for business until the 8th of December. In the mean time I'd like to be able to use my HTPC.

I had a Mediaportal setup previously and I had no problem capturing my sky remote for ir transmittion.

Does anybody have suggestions? or even better the lirc script for a sky remote (all I need is 0 to 9).

    Thanks
