Me and my 4 other girl pals wants to celebrate the NYE 08 differently this time, so what would be better than travel to another country in Europe, so we looked in ryanair and thought that Glasgow or Dublin sounded great.

But we want to travel somewhere else this year because we want to celebrate this time in a big club or something, maybe a rave party :D.

So my question is, where in Glasgow or Dublin are the biggest new years eve parties?? (sorry for my poor English)

I wouldnt touch Dublin. We Irish like to drink, but unfortunately Dublin isnt all that much of a party town. The very latest nightclubs close at 3:30, most close at 2:30. Dublin had a renowned rave scene until the late 90s, but since then pretentiousness and money have become the god of the club scene. Most of the clubs play pretty cheesy chart pop. Drink is overpriced. Bouncers can be twats. In terms of size the biggest clubs in Dublin are probably Spirit, Tripod and Barcode. Spirit is ok on occasion, but not worth the ridicilpous NYE admission fee (40 euro last year was it?). Tripod used to be great in its day, its gone down the pan now. Barcode is a kids disco with alcohol, woeful place. In short, if you wanna have a belter Glasgow is the place to go. Dont have exact details but check out online to see what the Archaos and The Arches nightclubs are doing. Never made it to Arches, was in Archaos and it is ****ing insane.

Out of curiousity what country are you from?
