[Req] Where to buy branded jeans (eg Levi's,Wranglers)

Hi All,

I'm looking to buy a number of branded jeans and other casual wear but want to avoid Rip-Off Republic high street prices. I'm looking for alternative retailers(eg Open Markets, E-bay, Wharehouses on the border or even an Irish retailer) that get the same product to the public at a lower price. Has anyone experience of such a distributor that they would recommend?

Thanks in Advance for all responses.

Have used htto://www.cloggs.co.uk and http://www.jeans-online.pl in the past, jeans-online.pl most recently as cloggs didn't have the size I needed. Both are authorised Levis online stores and are listed on the Levis own site (http://eu.levi.com/storefinder/).

Jeans online only stocks Levis. Shipping is only 10euro no matter how many pairs you want.

There is a shop in North Earl Street/ Talbot Street beside Guineys who are always cheaper for jeans than any other place in the City of Dublin and the Village Outlet Levi store in Kildare town is reasonable

I've used JC Pennys online store in the US in the past.

Thanks Bill,

With the Euro so strong against the dollar at present, that looks like a hell of a bargain site. Can you remember how much you were charged for delivery? (Again, Thanks in Advance).

Don't remember exactly but I was able to get 2 pairs of levis including postage for about 70 euro in total.

As someone mentioned above there may be a customs issue, but i didn't realise at the time, plus they never came looking anyway....

yeah customs can be very hit and miss...
I ordered a guitar a few years ago and got charged nothing by customs but I hear that they have cracked down alot so Ive been very reluctant to order from the states since.

Im planning a big shopping trip with the wife next year at some stage for a big clothes shop.
pretty much go over with empty suitcases and go outlet store shopping

is the customs charges only if your order is over €175?
as from this article or is that if you are carrying them yourself back from the states.

I bought from JCP about four times. Never got caught.

SRVNOVR will give you another 15% off also.

Shipping is ok, not too expensive but not great value either.

Hi Sue
Unfortunately It says in the T&Cs that the SRVNOVR code doesn't work on Levis:mad:

With regard to Levi's sizes in general - is a 32-32 in europe the same as a 32-32 in the US or do they make them bigger to accomodate Fat american egos?
(or smaller to accomodate the Fitness freaks!)

Don't wanna buy jeans in my size from JCP and find taht they are like tents (or worse still drainpipes!)

that limit is only items you're carrying back yourself from the states. i think the limit for merchandise coming from the states is €22 if it's a gift it's €45, check out revenue's site for the specific limits. however, i've yet to be hit by customs and i've bought significant amounts (dvds, cds & tshirts) over the years. this time of year you're more likely to be snared though.

Would be interested to know that too. I found when in the US sizes arnt similar to euro sizes? Is there a rule of thumb?

yes, called the denim bar and owned by guineys, though it is like being in a levis store or oconnors, but with good prices

I bought a few pairs of levi jeans in america over the summer for 20$ each which is an unbelievable price compared to here

Anyone know what customs charge if they did stop a delivery? Is it a % of what you paid?

X.

I've used JC Pennys online store in the US in the past.

Just received 3 pairs of Levi's ordered from JC Pennys for a total cost of €80 including p&p, untouched by customs. This equates to one pair being around a third the price of the Irish highstreet. Nice one!!!!!!!

I ordered 2 x pairs ofjeans from the Jeans-onlin website on Dec 4th...
12 days later theystill havn't shipped
Looks unlikely that they will arrive before Christmas at this stage
I'm disgusted with this shambles of a service...

Please note you can still place orders after these dates but we cannot guarantee delivery in time for Christmas.

I got a Levi denim jacket from JC Penny delivered to my door last Wednesday. Ordered on Nov 30th, shipped Dec 4th (weekend in between) and arrived Dec 12th. Cost me less than 60 Euro altogether for a size I haven't been able to get here. Very pleased and thanks to whoever mentioned their site.
