Silvercrest DVD player supports upscaling?

    Newbie question - can I assume that the Silvercrest DVD player in this week's Lidl catalogue supports upscaling due to the fact it has a HDMI interface? Or does anyone know if it does? I'm hoping to get a 42" plasma for Xmas so need to get an upscaling DVD player too I guess.
