Claiming back tax

Can you use your P45 to claim back tax owed to you in the year you worked? I worked from July 06 - Sept 07 and I want to claim back the amount I was taxed. Would a P45 and P60 be enough proof of employment? Apologies if this is wrong forum!

Just ring the tax office and tell them you want the tax you paid back!

They're very helpful and explain everything to you.
