Hi this will be my first winter riding an Aprilla Atlantic 125. Already on a quite cold morning it would not start for me and cannot be kick started. I charged up the battery but the other night ( again very cold ) it took 6 attempts to get her going. Is this normal with scooters in cold weather? Im going onto a night shift at work soon so I'll need to start her at 6am and 11pm and am a bit worried i'll get let down...Any ideas ?

How old is the battery, once it gets to a certain age/use it will be almost knackered even if you try to charge it, it should have started on the kick start a lot easier than that, the first thing I would suggest is a new spark plug. From my own experience I found that the scooter started no problem in the summer because the amount of use kept the battery ticking over but once winter arrived and I didn't use it as much (the car was warmer, I know, shame on me) the battery, which was 4 years old, struggled to get the bike started.
