Should work perfectly on FTA without a net connection.

I've heard of some foreign subscription channels (TPS?) that require a net connection (on their network?) to validate that you've got a valid viewing card and are in their franchise area, but that's unusual. Probably would not work in Ireland (that's the point of it).

You might just need to move to a net connection, from time to time to get firmware updates or updated transponder lists or program guides. These are usually not essential.

Have you subscribed to any pay channels?

    REMINDER: SEE Stickies!

Decryption without appropriate subscription is a criminal offence in EU and may not be discussed here.
