    Hi,

Was just wondering about using Nuva Ring as an option for contraception. have read lots about it but was wondering...

Does the ring sit horizontally or vertically inside you, does it fall out much in peoples experiences? easy to put in/take out?

    and

What were peoples experiences of having it in during sex,is by boyfriend using his fingers not an option anymore if i did use this method?:(

I've read up about it lots but these were the questions i couldnt get an answer for, not sure if id want to ask my doctor the second one!:o

A friend of mine in Germany has one and she is really happy. She hated taking the pill every day and was suffering from strong side effects.

She said her boyfriend says he doesn't feel it. I don't know about the finger thing, but as far as I understand it sits quite tight and needs some "practice" to come out. I don't think your boyfriend would cause it to come out so, unless he tries for it ;)

It's most likely to accidentally come a bit out right after sex because you are very relaxed then. But just push it back and you'll be grand.

I was wondering myself about getting one, but who prescribes it? Is it as easily available as the pill? There's no info link on the wellwoman centre for instance.

as far as i can see its prescribed by your GP same as the pill, and its on lots of different irish websites including the irish family planning association etc. so i presume its not too hard to get.

i hadnt heard much about it before a week or two ago. all irish reviews ive read seem to be positive but on american sites some people talk about side effects that are similar to yeast infection. although this supposedly dissapears after the first month ar so cause your body is adjusting....

id like some more irish views on it though and hear from people who have used it. obviously ill talk to GP when i need a new perscription again but hearing about experiences is a good help in deciding!
