I was down in the local shop last night, and saw this so I bought a bottle.

It's smooth and a nice tasty beer, but I'd never heard of it before.

    Anyone else sample it?

I have one in my cellar (read: under me bed). I'll crack it open someday soon and let you know my humble opinion. I seem to recall the lads discussing it here not long back, though.

Yep. It's decent, though not very exciting. It's also not Irish, being made in England, I believe.

It looked interesting when I saw it in the offy, but tasted quite plain and bland. Probably better than the likes of Miller and Bud, but nothing that makes it stand out.

BeerNut, just saw you're blog, the Dublin Brewing Company beers were indeed delicious. Did they have a lager called Becketts? Now that stood out!

They did. *Sniff*. However it's Maeve's and Revolution I really miss.

(Excuse me, I have something in my eye.)

I recall the D'arcy's dublin stout had a claim on the back of the bottle that its perfect taste was known to make grown men weep.

Just drinking the Time now. It's perfectly drinkable, and I would quite happily drink another, but I wouldn't fancy paying for another.
